And the good byes begin

T-17 days...
I played a round of golf with coworker Mike because he left for Belgium today. Also had dinner and drinks with him on Friday. That was the first good bye. It wasn't too bad because we'll keep in touch. He's going to be the property manager if we are able to lease our condo.

Caroline and Marissa hosted a party for me today with some of the Cap City girls. I had such a good time. It made me sad to leave such good friends.

My limited edition wine, who knew?

My cake

Mikko, Egg Roll, and Red

Mikko 1 , Red 0

I also played what will most likely be my last game with Cap City and wasn't even a full game. We got rained out with 15 mins left. I still had a good time. I'll miss everyone.

6 years

Thats how long it took us to get around to fixing the fan in the master bedroom.

Didn't hurt that we had huge motivation to do so because of the move.

So many things we won't enjoy because we fixed them at the last minute.

Long hair

I usually prefer long hair. I don't think I look good with short and was teased mercifully when I did sport a short do.

I think I'm changing my position. I'm doing some deep cleaning and hair is everywhere. So flipping annoying. Just when I think I can't pick up anymore hair, there's more.

It's almost as annoying as sweeping dog hair. Two minutes after sweeping the house, there is a giant hair ball!

Silly hubster

I'm re-reading the Game of Thrones series and am on the third book. The hubster picks it up and says wow that font is small and Jesus its 1200 pages. I said all the books are similarly as long. He looks at me and says I listened to the first two on CD.

Rail travel booked

Just finished booking all our rail tickets for Europe. I had considered going the eurorail passes route because its so popular, but it just wasn't cost effective. The global pass was too expensive and the select passes didn't cover France so we'd need two select passes. Then we have to pay extra for reservations. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but it turned out to be way more expensive.

Try as I might to make this trip more flexible and spontaneous, it just didn't work. We are locked into our itinerary with these tickets. It's ok. Peace of mind in my opinion.

So we came in under budget (which varied wildly-so I can't say if the starting budget was accurate). Lets just say I'm ok with what we spent for continental Europe travel.

All that's left is what sights we'll see and honestly, I'm tired of researching. Seems like a bad time to get burnt out on vacation planning. Still a few months out, I can read about everything at a leisurely pace.

Europe is getting closer

3 months away. I just started making reservations for train tickets. A little early? A little OCD? Perhaps, but thorough research says book early for best prices and this is as early as you can. Maybe I'm making a mistake by locking in our travel dates and activities, but I'll take the security of having a seat over that.

I'm just not a spontaneous traveller. Maybe something to work on.

Spoiled milk

I don't get the hubster sometimes. Yesterday morning, I made my morning coffee and brought it into work. During the summer, I makes iced coffee. I use the small setting on my keurig and add milk and ice. Well it tasted horribly. The milk must have gone bad. The sell by or used by date was a few days past. I figured it was ok. I like to live on the edge.
I made a passing comment to the husband about how he left his uneaten cereal in the office Sunday morning. He says oh the milk was bad! Wtf?!?!! And you didn't throw it away? You let me use it in my coffee?!??

Thanks a lot!!!
