I need yoga

Apparently, this is a true statement due to today's events. I packed my bag for yoga last night and when I arrived at yoga this morning, I found that u had no sports bra. Usually not a problem, but my tank top was one if those burn out tanks with sheer sections. Yeah, not so much about the nipple exposure.

So I went out to the front if the studio where they sell apparel. I knew this would not be cheap. I also knew that I did not want to return to work without doing yoga. So I plunked down $36 (this includes my 25% birthday discount) for a pretty coral yoga bra. How fortuitous that I got a discount! Otherwise, it might have been hard to swallow. Well, I suppose that's my birthday present to myself!

To the bitch boarding behind me

I do notice you hit my back every time this slow line moves into the plane. I'm sorry if you think me stepping in front of you after cutting one line was rude. Maybe I should have been the bigger person, but guess what, I haven't learned that lesson yet.

So every time we stop, I will continue to swing my large long champ bag into your gut.

You're welcome.

Telling time

The hubster got me a watch for Christmas. It's one I've been wanting for a while. It has a dual time zone face which I thought would be useful when I was living in Ohio. It's still useful because it will remind me of the time in Ohio and when to not call people.

Anyway, I love it, but I cannot get used to reading it.

It might because I went watch-less for over a month and got used to not checking my wrist for the time. You can see that the two silver arms are your normal arms for telling time. The small teal arm is for the second time zone. Notice that it's on a 24 hour face and not your normal 12 hour face.

Yes, I'm complaining about a present. I'll get over it.

Christmas came late this year

The hubster and I couldn't be with each on Christmas, so we had to delay it a bit. However, it was worth the wait.

The biggest gift was finally having the hubster complete the move to San Diego! He arrived yesterday afternoon after two debaucherous nights in Vegas. It was actually rather take in reality, and provided a plethora of people watching stories.

We exchanges gifts yesterday and everyone walked away happy. I got the hubster a PS4 and he got a game from my little brother. The hubster spoiled me with a new watch! Not just any watch, the watch I had been coveting for nearly 4 years and has been on my amazon wish list forever! He also got me a flash for my camera and USB cable for my iPhone. The flash will definitely make me learn how to properly use my camera after 5 years. My stepson also got me a Starbucks gift card which was desperately in need of a reload. My in-laws gave gift cards and some cash.

Such a happy day for the both of us. I finally have my husband back and the hubster got to get out of the car he was stuck in for three days. It's a little car too.

New Year's Resolutions

Why do I bother?  I don't know, but here goes:

  1. Put less emphasis on money this year.  It's always been a sore point between the hubster and I, and I need to not prioritize it so much for the sake and health of our marriage.
  2. Slow down ... with everything.  How I eat, how I vacation, just slow down, maybe even stop at times.
  3. Communicate effectively.
  4. Just breathe!  Which really means, do more yoga!
  5. Train properly for the two races I will complete this year.
  6. Take a relaxing vacation. (i.e. do not plan to death and have days were we do nothing.)
  7. Get my national rating
  8. Move out my parents' house.
