Shoot out Queen

I must be an unlucky charm because 3 out of the 5 blue jackets games I have been to have ended in a shoot out. We don't even win them all. It sure is exciting though.

Kick start

No, not that website where people can invest in someone else's idea.

This is my own personal kick start. Well more like keep the momentum up. I ran my half marathon last year and I'm starting the process for my national and cap city is going great. I want to keep up the activities. I thought the best way would be to do that 101 in 1,001 days that I see on blogs everywhere.

It's hard coming up with that many items. I've got 29 right now. Most of them are just things I need or want to get done around the house. I need to add some fun spontaneous things onto the list and maybe some more menial ones. Life can't always be exciting can it?

Time to brainstorm some more...

Law and Order Fun and Games

I love Law and Order.  All of the spin offs - the original, SVU, Criminal Intent, and even LA.  I couldn't get into Law and Order UK because those British have some wonky laws.

I've discovered that one of Brock's good friends and one of our frequent dinner dates also loves Law and Order.  We've come up with a game where you find actors with cameos on Law and Order.  It started off with finding Emily March on a Food Network show with Bobby Flay.  I've seen Norman Reedus and Hayden Panietierre (sp).  I told them that she is married to him.  Anyway, ever since actually paying attention and reporting them, I've come upon with some great ones.  One of my favorites: Dr Warner, the SVU medical examiner, showing up as a defense attorney in regular Law and Order.

My all time favorite:  Lenny Briscoe - no explanation needed -  showing up as a defense attorney in the second season of Law and Order.  Old school with ADA Ben Stone and Paul Robinette.

Gotta keep my eye out for more!

Blue jackets game

I'm neglected this poor blog, yet again.

The hubster and I went to a blue jackets game with some of coworkers. We had a great time. It was a great time up until we lost in OT.

Reason #72 why I keep the hubster around

He takes me to the ER when I refuse to.

Yesterday, I got out of work early and decided to hit the gym before my membership ran out. (I cancelled it last week) After my workout, I headed to the grocery store to pick some things up so I could pack a lunch for today's long car ride to West Virginia. While walking along the cheese aisle, I notice my vision is all screwy. I can only see half of the signs. I'm not off balance or anything , but something is weird. My right arm got tingly like i cut off circulation to it. Then bot hands got tingly. I quickly finish my shopping and head to check out. I actually wait in line because I didn't know if I would have the dexterity or agility to use the self scan!

I fumbled with my items getting them on the belt. I missed my strawberries because they were in my "blind spot". I had to really concentrate to use the credit card machine. By the time I got home, I had a terrible headache and I just wanted to sleep. I had called the hubster while at the grocery store and explained to him what was going on.

He called again while I was at home and he said he was coming home to take me to the ER. I told him to give me an hour and let me sleep.

Despite my protests, he came home, stuffed me in the car, and drive like a maniac to the hospital. I was admitted given a few shots, threw up a few times, peed in a cup, and felt so much better by the time I left.

Turns out I had my very first migraine. Wow what a doozy. So thank you hubster for taking me when I was being stubborn. I'm sure I could have waited out the migraine, but with the plans this weekend, I'm glad we went when we did.

Also the reason he drove like a madman was because he thought I was going to have an aneurysm or a stroke. Of course, he didn't tell me this until I was discharged. I love him so much. He takes such good care of me. He even bought me chicken mcnuggets on the way home. 20 pieces all to myself. I shared 4 and only ate 10.
