Oh Dear
So I wrote about these shoes a while ago.
They are CRAZY and just tickle my fancy. While I was in San Diego, I was happening to catching up on my google reader and what do I see?
Yes, that is Sarah Jessica Parker wearing the paw shoes. They are actually lion's paws. I just thought it was funny. I actually laughed out loud and showed the hubster the pictures when I saw them. Honestly never thought anyone would actually wear them. It's a very Little Red Riding Hood outfit except I guess with those shoes, she's the wolf dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood and not the Grandmom.
It's the simple things
I've been eating Greek yogurt for a while now. I love it, but yesterday at Costco when I was buying another box of yogurt that on the box, it says "For a smooth treat, do not mix". I was like "What?!?!?" I always mix my yogurt even if it's not the fruit on the bottom kind. It's habit. I do notice that when I do mix the yogurt, it loses that thick dense consistency that I love. So today I tried two different things. First, I did not mix. Second, I added granola. Adding granola is not necessarily a "new" thing. I've had yogurt with granola before, but I've always bought it that way at the airport or something. I've never bought yogurt and granola separately and then mixed it. So it turns out, not mixing is great and adding granola is also great. Amazing!
A Great Way to Start the Day
Spilling your coffee on your desk within 10 seconds of putting your stuff down. Yeah, it was not good. I just kind of stood there watching the coffee seep into a pile of papers. Then I went to the break room to grab some paper towels. You'd think I'd already moved past this since it has been 2 hours since it happened, but I think the coffee got onto my work jacket and the smell of coffee has been wafting around me ever since.

The Oddest Thing
The oddest thing happened to me the day I left San Diego at lunch. The hubster, myself, and my brothers went to Charlie's Best Bread on the suggestion of my little brother. We arrived at the deli and I walked in to look at the menu. One of the first things I noticed was that the gentleman in front of me had a feather in his hair. Not a thin feather like the ones I have. No, these were the larger, fluffier feather. It was odd because of two things and here is where I get a little stereotypical: He did not look like he should be wearing one - he honestly looked like a Mormon missionary, and secondly, he had short hair. It looked absolutely ridiculous.
It turns out he was a feather salesman and tried to sell them to me. I already had feathers, duh! I kept saying no thank you and that I think I was too old for it. Basically, giving the shortest responses possible while trying to read the menu. He finally got the hint and went away. I can understand wearing the product that you're promoting, but a line must be drawn. If he were a woman with longish hair, then ok. My hair stylist has 3 or 4 in her hair, but she works in a hair salon and does the application herself. He looked so stupid. I wonder who told him it would be a good idea.
