What?

During my morning perusal of various websites, I stumbled upon this article from yahoo: https://www.yahoo.com/travel/havent-vacationed-in-a-year-neither-have-135-126534692042.html

It's not a breaking news kind of article, but what did catch my eye was their definition of a vacation.

"According to  the Vacation Confidence Index, an annual report from Allianz Travel Insurance, a vacation is a trip that lasts for a week or more that’s at least 100 miles from home."

What?!!?!?

By this definition, aside from my India and Hawaii trip, I haven't been on a vacation in over two years.  I don't count those as vacations though they meet the criteria because they are destinations that I would not have necessarily chosen for myself for those PTO hours.  And by that definition, my next "vacation" won't be until the December of 2016!
