Shut the Front Door

More awesomeness from other blogs.  This one brought to you by Tom and Lorenzo.  They originally started writing commentary about Project Runway, but have expanded to other TV shows (The Fashion Show, Lost, The Killing, Walking Dead, Mad Men) and fashion.  One of today's posts was on Christian Louboutin's Fall collection.

The majority of the shoes were amazing and I would love to have a pair, and of course, there were the requisite "high fashion" types that you would see Lady Gaga or Rihanna wearing.  Anyway, one of the last pairs were these beauties:

First response was WTF, but then they kind of grow on you.  I think it's because they look like dog or cat paws and I love dogs!  They are crazy and I would never wear them, but I love the idea of them.  It makes me smile, perhaps one of those crazy lady smiles.

New Shoes!

I've been meaning to buy some new running shoes.  I've had my old pair for a year, and I thought I'd want a new pair for the half marathon.  My older brother had gotten me a a gift card for Roadrunner Sports.  I went in this morning and did their Shoe Dog analysis.  Apparently, I put too much weight on my heels, my toes roll out when I run, and I have semi-flexible ankles.  I need stability shoes.  I ended up buying Mizunos, some custom insoles, and super comfy socks.  I really like these shoes and hope this helps me run my half marathon.  Here they are:
