When buying in bulk backfires

So the hubster and I love Costco. Usually not a problem until you have less than a month until you move cross country and a house full of shit.

Exhibit one: we bought cartons of motor oil when Costco had coupons. Moving companies won't move oil. We had to return three boxes and still have three in the garage.

Exhibit two: over abundance of paper products. We also returned one large container of tp. Even though the hubster stays in oh a little longer than me, he still excretes, but not 32 rolls worth.

Exhibit three: I love restoration hardware's plush throws. We own two and give them to people for wedding and housewarming gifts. They only sell them in the winter and they go on sale for $40. Well, I bought 6 when they went on super sale. Yes, 6!!! Reasoning- they were 80% off regular price. We always give then as gifts. Why not? Now I have a huge box with 5 remaining. Hmmmm... Obviously they are moving with us, but still it seems a little ridiculous when I look at the situation.
