It seems like I could make 50 posts with that title and still be accurate. I had my personal moving day in July for the cross country drive. I had a mini packing day right after Europe. But I think this is the official moving day since this is the day the mover's load up all of our stuff that we've accumulated over 7 years after drastic purging and downsizing into a truck and drive it across the country into my waiting arms.
This weekend was stressful even though I wasn't in Columbus. I think I should have been, but it didn't make sense financially for me to take time off work so soon after a two week vacation to help finalize the last step of the move. I had to get updates from the hubster on his progress. There was constant stressing on keeping the weight down. I did not want to have to pay more on top of our estimate.
Over the weekend, I received phone calls from all of our move vendors to confirm the big move. Oh, how nerve wracking. I don't think I'll be able to relax until the hubster or the mover calls and lets me know it's all done with and we came in underweight!!
Next step, is preparing my parent's house to store our stuff. It's a good thing they have a large house and we downsized so much. I'm a little concerned about fit, but we'll make it work.
Movers have been there since 9 am EST. So when should they be done?
