After my unsatisfying, disappointing lunch debacle, I walked into the break room to get some more water and what did I see? A pizza on one of the break room tables. It looked so good. I was tempted to just steal the whole thing. Color me jealous!
What was even more peculiar was the make up of the pizza. It was half cheese and not quite half pepperoni. There was one single solitary slice of supreme/combination pizza. Just one! It was like this perfect slice of pizza in the middle of cheesy, pepperoni goodness. I know you can do half and half toppings, but just a single slice. Amazing! Both amazing to have the option, but probably insanely annoying if you are making the pizza. I wonder who ordered the pizza. Are there leftovers? Willing to share?

Pizza!
I love the pizza stone the hubster got me a while ago. I've made pizza three times with it and with the exception of the first one. It's been pretty darn good. Well, it's hard to screw up pizza when you buy the pizza dough and pizza sauce pre-made at Trader Joe's. Last night, I made pizza.
My half was tomato, basil, mozzarella and the hubster's half was pepperoni. We had some issues transferring the pizza from the baking pan to the oven, but it was still tasty if a little ugly and messy. I used basil that I had grown on my porch and it was yummy. The only thing was that after I had chiffonaded my basil, it started to turn brown on the edges. Maybe I need a sharper knife to cut it.
