I am done with Living Social. Never, never again.
The hubster offered to go halfsies on an eyelash extension deal. I agreed and bought the deal with Tomika Gordon at Salong Lofts and Chazon Glam Squad. This is by far the worst customer interaction I've ever had.
I contact Tomika using the phone number provided 2 days after the voucher came in my email. It sounded like she just woke up (I called at 10 am). She was not prepared to say the least. She told me she was not by a computer and that I should email her to set an appointment. The email should contain, and I quote "blah blah blah blah". I guess I could fill in the blanks.
I should have requested my refund then. If I had known that Living Social only has a 7 day refund policy window, I would have! I email and she responds in 24 hours. The dates she sends don't work. I request that she send me other dates. Four days go by, nothing. I try to get a refund from Living Social. No dice, I'm outside the window because she didn't get back with me! I send a reminder email because I'm making this appointment if I can't get my money back. She responds within 24 hours. Some more back and forth and we finally get an appointment scheduled. It only took one week! Hooray! Last email is confirming date and time. She replies "See you then (sucker)"
Today was the appointment. I arrive at 4 pm. Her area is dark, locked up, and empty. *bad feeling creeps in* I wait 15 minutes and call her. Straight to voicemail. I leave a message. I email her. I also find out that she had double booked the appointment. We are both sitting there waiting. After 35 minutes, I leave. I call American Express and Living Social to get my money back.
That bitch had the audacity to double book the appointment and then not show up! WTF! How does Living Social find these vendors?!?! Living Social does give me credit for the suck-tastic deal, but once that is spent I am done with them. DONE. So Tomika Gordon and Living Social can go live happily ever after.
I also suspect that this person is running this scam on every deal site there is. After googling her name and her "glam squad", they have at least three other scams going on. I hope those people suckered in to buying them fight to get their money back.
