DVR Fail

I had plans to watch the Women's World Cup semifinal game, but due to a mix up with time zones, I missed it.  I would have missed it anyway since I ended up picking up the hubster from his autocross race when his car broke down...again.  Anyway, after finding out the results, I wanted to watch the game in its entirety.  So I used my new AT&T DVR search feature and set up the recording.  It was playing Sunday night at midnight.

Well, first off, it recorded it on regular ESPN and not ESPN HD.  A little disappointing, but nothing devastating. But the biggest blunder was that it only recorded for 2 hours.  The game went into overtime and penalty kicks.  So I only got to watch a little past the Brazilian goal in overtime.  WTF DVR.  I'm going to need to look into the recording settings.  My old DVR at least knew when something had the potential to go over and asks me if I would want it to keep recording.

So the hubster and I sat down to watch the game last night after dinner only to be met with these two disappointments.  While watching the first 15 minutes of the game, I told the hubster "I forgot how boring it is to watch soccer."  I used to love it as a kid.  What happened?  It was getting late and I was sleepier than I thought.  Twenty minutes into the game, I googled the live blogs of the game and fast forwarded it to all the highlights.  I feel like such a hypocrite.  I could have just watched Sportscenter!.  Once I realized, I wasn't going to be able to watch the overtime and penalty kicks, I resorted to having to find the penalty kicks on youtube.
