I finally had enough of the nail growth on my gelish manicure and started to pick off the polish. I had considered getting another manicure and paying for them to take it off at the salon, but my nails needed a break and I'm really just too cheap to $10 to have them remove it for me. So I started picking at them and picking gave way to peeling. Once you got a small piece to lift off of the nail, peeling it off was a breeze.
It took about 2-3 days of picking and peeling to remove all the polish. This is just random picking, not constant. Anyway, my nails were a little damaged from the manicure, but nothing like the acrylic nails. I don't know if what happened next was the weather's fault or the manicure. I went to Vail a few days after I removed the polish and by the end of the trip, my nails were quite ruined. Chipped and broken nails everywhere. A teammate of mine said it was because of the dry weather. So I'll blame that. So now that I know I don't have to pay to remove the polish, overall, the Gelish manicure gets an A+ from me.
