Epitome of Laziness or ...

bad customer service?

The hubster loves Hollister clothes for me.  I indulge him by buying some items of clothing there, but what gets me is their lack of customer service.  I shouldn't be surprised since they are part of the Abercrombie and Fitch family and I hate A&F (another shitty customer service story from like 4 years ago which I'm pretty sure I have not spent one cent inside that particular store).  I'm pretty sure they are trained this way because right when you come in, you're greeted with "Hey, what's up?", not "Welcome to Hollister, blah blah blah".  I'm not in high school anymore and I'm not your friend.  Don't talk to me that way.  I guess I am not their target market, but whatever. Would they say that to me if I looked like a mom?

Anyway, it's become customary for cashiers to ask for your phone number or email or some other personal information when you check out.  You give it them and they punch it into their registers.  Do you know what Hollister does?  "Well make sure you visit out kiosk and enter in your email".  Huh?  You want me to take extra time to walk over to your kiosk to give you information which you will them use to spam me with near lewd advertisements or turn around and sell to some other company.  Ummm, no thanks.
