Highlights

I've been thinking a lot about getting rid of my highlights.  I've had them for a while now and I'm a little tired of how they look and the cost and maintenance of them.  I admit I do minimal maintenance as in I go in every 5-6 months to re-do them.  It costs about $300 a year for highlights.  I guess it's not too much, but when I blowdry my hair and I see the dark brown/black hair underneath, it makes me a little sad.  I miss it.  Highlights do remind me to get my haircut on a semi-routine basis.  If I had monochrome hair color, I would never remember.  It was just grow and grow and just be there.  I don't do much with my hair.  I wash it, condition it, dry/blowdry it, brush it, and on special occasions flat iron it.  I don't even use product.

I know the hubster loves my highlights, but I think it might be time to give them a break.
