Christmas Crafting

Now that Christmas is over and presents have been handed out, I can write about the Christmas presents that I made.  There were two different types.  First, the calendars.  Every year for the past 3 years, I make calendars for everyone is the hubster's family.  Every year, I think they are going to get tired of these calendars, but they don't.  So I keep making them.  The first year, it was exclusively the hubster and I.  How vain of me.  As the years go by, we add in his sister and her husband and now their daughter.

I usually use mypublisher because they allow you to put photos in the dates in the calendar, but they are pretty pricey at $20 a pop plus shipping per calendar!  Even if it's to the same address.  I used Snapfish this year because they had a buy one, get two free promotion.  They also have the same picture in the day feature.  How could I pass it up?  The calendars were pretty nice when we got them in.  They were glossy and laminated.  Also larger in size than the mypublisher ones.  The only thing I didn't like was that there were not a lot of layout options.  There is definitely more freedom with mypublisher.  So that was made present number one.

Number two were yarn wreaths for his mom and grandmom.  I'm particular proud of these because I was able to use some ornaments that we already had for embellishments and I actually liked how I laid everything out.

They seemed to like them, so that's good.  And I liked making them, win win.
