Doggie Nationality

Today in the car, the hubster and I had a conversation about our dogs.  The question came up:  What nationality were our dogs?  Obviously, we decided that Egg Roll was Mexican.  She is a chihuahua mix after all and she's very "street".  I posed the same question about Red.  I had already decided what I thought she was and wanted the hubster's take.  He said "Duh, she's obviously Swedish."  I was like "No way!  I was going to say she was Scandinavian!"  I have no real reason why I think that, but the hubster thinks the same way.  We don't know any Scandinavians thought I met my friend's Finnish friend once.  I wonder what it is about Scandinavians that remind us of Red.  Are they happy all the time?  Very friendly?  Are sheltie/collie/retrievers popular in those countries?
