Reasons I'd Make a Bad Parent: #2-4

You might be wondering what #1 is.  Well that's hidden in an old post, and of course, these are numbered in the order that they dawn on me and not ranked by the worst reasons to least worst.

#1: My love would be based on achievements and merit - not unconditional

So what are the others?

#2 - I have no patience.
#3 - Everything must be done my way.
#4 - I can't stand it when people (i.e. kids) don't listen to me.

All these popped into my head while trying to teach the step son how to snowboard.  Yes, he's a kid, and he's gonna do things his way, but I'm not gonna waste my time teaching something to someone who has no interest in learning how to do something right instead of the easy fast way.  He would ride the lift with me, completely ignore or not apply the instructions I gave him to get off the lift (which I think is by far the hardest part of snowboarding), and then he crashes into me and makes ME fall.  He then takes off down the hill and when I finally catch up to him and give him tips, he off down the hill again without listening to me!  I feel like if he were my kid like raised 100% under my care, things would different.  I would be THAT mom who would yell out things like "If you don't do it my way, then we're going home" or "If you can't do it right, then we're going home".
