Lately, I've been trying to get back on the working out consistently wagon. I feel with therapy and golf lessons and the random stuff that pops up, I can't get back on a schedule. This time last year I was going 4-5 times a week to the gym. I think part of the reason for the drop now is because I run outside now. And in this heat in humidity, it can only be done with either early in the morning before work (yeah, right) or at 7/8 at night. I don't think I can go back to running the short track at the gym anymore. I can deal with it in the winter, but not for training for a half marathon. I think I'd go bonkers after 5 miles.
Anyway, I've been able to make it to one gym class for the past 4 weeks and to fit a run or two in that time period. It's either spin class or boot camp. I went to boot camp last night and today is the first day where I haven't been so sore I can barely move and I even pushed myself during the workout. I hopped on the scale prior to leaving for the gym and the number was a lot higher than what I was expecting, so I decided I would try and kill myself during the class. My ass still hurts from spinning, but not so much from this past class on Monday. I think a few more times and I'll know how to sit without being in pain afterwards.
I'm aiming for another long run this weekend (maybe push it to 8 miles). I do have an eyebrow wax appointment Saturday morning and Britney Saturday night, so if I blow off the run Saturday, I don't think Sunday would be conducive to a run. Maybe I can squeeze one in Friday after work if the non-humid weather sticks around.
I can't gain anymore weight because I'm planning to gain more during my trip to San Diego. 6 more days...
