Heads up, if you're not into women's lacrosse and officiating, you probably won't get this.

I just got some big news the other night.  I was told that Laurette Payette wanted to work with ME at this year's state tournament this weekend!  Who is Laurette Payette?  She's just the USL Women's Division Officials Council (WDOC) Chair who is also a national rated official.  She's kinda a big deal.

Also, I got a state final game!  It's "only" the club final, but still a final.  I think I lucked out with these assignments because a lot of more senior and higher rated officials were not able to make it to Cleveland this weekend.  To be honest, I don't think I'll be getting another one in the coming years and I'm ok with that.  I'm just honored at the opportunity.

I don't know which news is better.  Either way, I'm going to pee my pants this weekend.  On a side note, this isn't the first time that Laurette (aka "the LP" as the hubster has deemed her) has talked about me either.  I've been told she briefly brought me up in a conversation earlier in the season.  What?!?  Me?!?!  So that's my big news.  I'm excited and nervous for this weekend.  I just hope I don't mess up.
