That's how I felt at the doctor's office yesterday. I've had this cyst by my eye for about a year. It looks like a zit, but it's not. It had gotten a little bigger in the past month and I decided to go in and have it checked out. Turns out it's something called milia. No big deal. My options were to leave it alone or the doctor could make a cut and squeeze it out similar to popping a zit. He kept stressing that it was only superficial and that nothing needed to be done. He also said that we could have a plastic surgeon come in and look at it. I thought that was a little extreme. Even asking if this is something that could be that day, he kept saying how it's only superficial and there would be no harm in leaving it.
Well, I've been walking around with this thing that looks like a zit for a year. I want it gone and if it's not major surgery, what's the problem? It took maybe 5 minutes to make the cut and squeeze it out. I have to say it looks so much better. I should have taken a picture of it before he removed it, but I didn't have enough time in the doctor's office. When I look at my face now, I can hardly remember what it looked like before it was gone. I'm much more symmetrical now.
