This past Friday and Saturday was the Ohio school girls lacrosse championship in Cleveland. I was fortunate enough to be assigned the division 1 semi-finals and the club final.
The Semi-final:
The teams were Upper Arlington vs Hudson. This was my game with Laurette. I was so nervous, and I think it showed. I didn't mess up too much, but it wasn't the best game I've ever done. It ended up being a close game and ended 13-11. I had a crazy situation happen where I ended up calling a time out to discuss with my partners what the hell I was supposed to do. I can't help, but be a little disappointed in how it went. It is what it is.
The Final:
I ended up being partnered with a Columbus official and a Cleveland official. The game was ugly, but I think I did pretty well. There were a few things I wish I had done differently, but overall, I think I did much better than Friday. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that the level of play was not as high and the final was not as clean as the semi-final.
Overall, it was a great weekend of lacrosse and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to be part of the finals this year. It probably won't happen again any time soon.
