Bad Dog

I really think Red has some issues.  She's got her problem with her nose and her anxiety.  Now she won't even go into her crate after I walk her in the morning.  She runs straight back into the bedroom and hides under the bed.  This has just recently started, probably about the same time she stopped wanting to eat with a cage door closed.

This morning was definitely a chore to get her into her crate.  She would not get out from under the bed and she would start to growl at me!  This is completely unacceptable to me, but the hubster is a coddler and an enabler, so he told me to leave her alone.  I may be the worst dog owner, but I said "F@#$# that".  She's a dog and she should behave and there is no reason to start acting like a spoiled child.  She needs to get into her crate like she always did and not change the routine to her whims.  You wouldn't do that with a child would you.  I was so angry and upset.  It didn't help that I had decided to sleep an extra 30 minutes this morning and did not feel like going into work.

I tried bribing her with treats and going outside (which worked for about 30 seconds and when she realized it was a trick, she quickly darted back under the bad).  She probably heard something false or threatening in my voice.  Is it bad to think that you hope that one day she would just run away and never come back?  Yes, it is, but I'm human and that's how I felt today.
