Rain day or Hurricane-like wind day or Tornado day?

We've all heard of snow days.  I remember as a kid waking up and listening to KYW News Radio 1060 hoping to hear my school code for the day off.  You'd have to listen hard to hear your numbers as the newcaster spewed them out like an auctioneer.  Nowadays in Columbus, they actually say the name of the school and with interwebs, you can just look at the school's website.

Anyway, yesterday, I had a rare weather related day off from work.  Tuesday night we had a pretty big storm come through our area just like most of the Midwest is experiencing.  It didn't seem so bad where I lived, but I guess Heath got hit harder than I thought.  Because on my way to work yesterday morning, I received a call from my engineering manager that the facility we worked in had no power and that the servers were down and that I didn't have to come in to work.  SWEET!  I'm just glad that I was only 10 minutes into my commute as opposed to 30 minutes.  I got off the freeway and headed home where I promptly got into bed and alternated from sleeping and watching TV until 11 am which is when I got hungry.

I poked the hubster awake where we preceded to spend an hour trying to figure out where we wanted to eat.  I know, we're so efficient and deciding where to eat is a big deal.  We settled on El Vaquero and surprisingly, we both got something we actually liked.  We've been trying different entrées at this place for the last 2-3 visits.  We got home from lunch and I continued to watch TV and take a nap.  I know, what a productive day!  I did end up doing a lacrosse game last night and feasted on some chicken taquitos from Costco for dinner.  A very Mexican day for me.

I also found out that we get Good Friday off from work, so what started out as a busy week for me turned out to be pretty relaxing.
