What about a show or movie on TV make it so compelling to watch? I don't know, but I'm sitting here in bed watching an episode of Sex and the City. I own all 6 seasons of Sex and City. The hubster's mom gave them to me for Christmas one year. Aside from the initial viewing, I've never watched these DVDs again, but whenever Sex and City is on TV, I always watch it. Why do I suffer through terrible Style network commercials? I don't know, but I don't think the genre of the movies or shows have anything to do with it either. We own Firefly on DVD and they started airing the episodes on TV now. I always try to click on the show on the TV guide, but we don't get that channel, but I'm always disappointed when I can't watch it. Nothing is really stopping me from watching it on DVD either, but I never do.
It's weird. Maybe the commercials are subliminally compelling us to watch them.
