Adventures in Minimalizing

So as you know, I got a new purse.  A very tiny purse compared to what I usually carry for day to day purposes.  To give you an idea, it can hold two long wallets, 3 pairs of sunglasses with cases, a cosmetic bag, phone charger, water bottle, a full lunch bag, umbrella, and a pair of shoes.  Lots of shit.

So I decided since I love my new purse, I want to carry it every day.  I have to admit that going from a shoulder bag to a cross body bag does free up your arms a lot just like the sales lady said.  Anyway, this bag holds almost nothing.  I use my new little wristlet to hold my most necessary cards: driver's license, amex, visa, and debit card.  Cash goes in the front zipper.

Since downsizing, I have forgotten to take my pill twice.  Didn't have access to important information that I keep in my wallet.  Didn't have any Advil for a headache I got yesterday.  And I anticipate a lot of other problems since I can't carry my usual shit.  I know I'll need to buy a card case to carry my other cards - insurance cards mainly, the other store credit cards and rewards cards I can do without.

I haven't used it on for running errands or going to the mall or travelling yet, only for work, and I keep most things I need in my desk at work.  I've been getting by.  Going out into the real world will be ultimate test.  I won't have pills, lotion, sunglasses, nothing.  It's almost like being a guy and only carrying a wallet.

I've got my wristlet, cash, and my work badge in my bag.  I'm scared.
