Yes, that is a carrying vessel for a single cupcake. It was on clearance, so it's ok right?
I went to Marshall/Home Goods after the gym in search for sheets, but ended up walking around with three pieces of wall art and this cupcake container. After wandering in the Home Goods section for like 30 minutes, I decided that I didn't really like the art that I was carrying. Two pieces were bicycle art which I do like bicycles, but not that much. The other was a geometric art print in bold colors. I didn't really like it as much as I thought. Back that went.
The hubster knows I have this rule of one when buying stuff. If I only have one item, 9 times out of 10, I will not buy it. So I venture over to the Marshall's side. I try on a bunch of clothes (yes I had just worked out and I was totally gross and I expected the dressing room attendant to deny me entry). I liked one item, but not the color. So I struck out on clothes. I wander into the men's accessory section and find those Speck candy shell iPhone cases for $7. Not too bad and they had colors I liked. So I pick up a gray with purple trim and a white with black trim. Yes, I can buy the cupcake holder now!!
I still look around and find a Calvin Klein shirt that I like for the hubster. So what could have been a $3 purchase ended up being a $50 purchase?!?! Wtf!
The irony is that I just read an article about saving money and one of the tips was something like asking yourself if you saved money by not buying something. I dunno. I think it applied here. Anyway, it looks like I'll be making cupcakes this weekend.
