On Sunday, the hubster convinced me to buy grocery store fried chicken. I'm not above grocery store fried chicken. I remember my dad going to Stater Brothers at the end of the day to get discounted friend chicken and potato wedges. That's just how my dad rolls.
Anyway, we're walking by the deli counter contemplating if we want lunch meat and I just walk over the hot food counter. Oooh, fried chicken.
Me, thinking: "No, you don't need that. You're making teriyaki chicken, rice, and bok choy at home. That's why you bought the incredibly large box of bok choy at Costco today!"
Me, talking to hubster: "yummm, KFC sounds good."
The hubster: "I like Kroger chicken better."
Me, not quite convinced: "When have you ever eaten Kroger chicken? Is it good?"
Hubster: "I like it better than KFC"
Me: "Really? Then why didn't you ever ask to get it from here than there?"
Hubster: "I dunno."
Me: "No, I already have plans for dinner."
Hubster: "I want it now that you brought it up."
Me: "Ugh, fine"
*pause*
Me: "But I'm still making dinner because I need to bring it for lunch on Monday"
It was pretty good and for $6 too. Anyway, that is why I have friend chicken for lunch today. I'm going to heat it up in the toaster oven so it doesn't get soggy. I hope it's tasty. But I just remembered that I didn't bring any honey in today. Honey + fried chicken = divine
