Holy Guacamole!

The last 6 hours have been crazy!  I was woken up at 3 am on several occasions due to thunder.  Holy crap was it loud!  I guess this is the first big storm of the year and I don't think I've experienced thunder so loud.  I finally went back to sleep.

Driving into work was quite the experience.  Driving towards 161 was quite the sight.  The lightning was so bright that when it lit up the sky, you could see the sheets of rain from a distance.  There was also a lot of lightning strikes.  I felt like one of those storm chasers on TV or in the movies where the audience keeps saying don't go that way, turn around, you're stupid because I was driving in the direction of the lightning.  I admit I was a little scared.

Of course, I drove right into the storm and it was raining pretty hard.  Very large drops of rain.  To add even more excitement to my morning, the part of the road I take into work was flooded.  There was a cop car sitting by a pond that decided it wanted to infringe on the road.  Good thing I was following a bus and a very cautious driver or else I might have just flown through that section of the road.  But I made it safely into work.
