March Madness

The first four in play games start tomorrow.  My work is putting on a suicide pool for the tournament.  Buy in is $20.  I'm contemplating participating this year.  I had never heard of a suicide pool, but the way it works is that for every day of the tournament, you pick one winning team in any of the match ups.  Just one team.  If they win, you move on to the next day. If they lose, you are out.  The catch is that you can only pick a team once. So if you pick the 4 number one seeds for the first 4 days of play and one ends up in the championship game, you have to choose the other team if it's also not another number 1 seed.  So, choose wisely.

I don't follow basketball at all.  I read articles every now and then, but don't follow any teams.  I think the most coverage I get is from my friend's fb and blog updates because she loves Aaron Craft.  So should I waste $20?    I don't think I'll win and it seems if I really wanted to take it seriously, it would involve way too much time to research the right teams.  Maybe this is why I never really followed through on joining a fantasy football league.
