I finally took the time to clean up around the house on Tuesday after physical therapy. I had told myself that day, "I'm picking up around the house" which I did, but thought I would do more. I ended up:
- vacuuming up the accumulated dog hair behind the cages (there was A LOT)
- thoroughly vacuuming under the dinner table (I don't think the step son moves the chairs and gets under the table, I think he just goes around the table)
- cleaning the kitchen counters
- sweeping the kitchen floor
- cleaning the master bathroom.
- clearing out all of the mail clutter on the kitchen island, shoe rack, and kitchen table
- changing the sheets/duvet cover in the guest bedroom (This has been due for a really long time. I like how it looks now then with the old sheet/duvet combo, much lighter and fresher, very springy)
- cleaned out the dog crates (washed towels and sheets used to cover the dog beds)
- moved some donation stuff back into the craft room (this is actually a step backwards since that's where they started, but I was tired of running into them in the doorway, I guess my mind trick to donate it earlier to get it out of the way backfired)
- picked up the millions of dog toys scattered around the house
I think that's it. I feel like there should have been a lot more. The house does look somewhat cleaner, but not as clean as I would like it. I'm sure I'll putt around the house for the next couple of days picking this and that up.
